Thanks To The Arapahoe Pinnacle!

Updated: Jan 5, 2022

Hello my dear readers,

As we slowly ease out of what I hope was a joyous holiday season for everyone, I want to wish you a Happy New Year. I just want to express how grateful I am to continually have the support and followers I do, as I continue on my path towards my creative writing degree.

During 2021, I delved deep into the art of creative nonfiction, and as I neared the end of the semester for my class, we were taught how to interview people and what kinds of questions we should ask during our interview. An inspiring woman in my class, by the name of Danella Daniealson, working on perfecting her writing as well, was my partner and interviewed me about my life. Danella asked me what makes me tick to what I like to do in my spare time. She even asked me where I found my most happy place to be. I was thrilled to hear Donella had announced her piece on my life was complete, but was nervous to hear what I thought of it. And if she got everything correct, as I was most certain she did! But I have to admit, the best part of this past month has not only been seeing and hearing everyone's great works they have produced, but hearing that I was chosen to be in the newspaper. That's right! Danella Daniealson's article written about me had been published in the Arapahoe Pinnacle. For many years, the Arapahoe pinnacle was a physical newspaper. Due to the pandemic, the paper has moved to an online digital form. I would like to mention that my work on ACC's award winning and prestigious Art and Literary Journal, The Progenitor, is available by donating to the Writer's Studio and Writing Center at ACC. Also, you can still get a copy of my three-time award winning book, Brotherly Love. As I’ve shared with you before, one of my favorite pastimes is being able to attend class in person and learn the art of creative writing in all genres. With this in mind, I would like to share with you the debut article from creative writer and previous journalism editor, Danella Danielson.

I look forward to hearing what you think about The Article (click here to read the full article and others), and hope to see you soon (while I’m attending open mic sessions for everyone, professional or not, live reading events, The Writers Studio, and Zoom sessions. Oh! and The famous F-Bomb of course)! Until then, I wish you only the best.

Sincerely yours,

Dalton Giesick.

P.S. I will be posting upcoming Zoom and Live event details you can attend, if you'd like to hear more readings and sign up for an open mic slot. Details are coming soon.
